About Jen
A Personal Approach to Therapy
Hi, I'm Jen, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Counsellor based in Buchlyvie (Stirlingshire) and Stepps (Glasgow). My aim is to provide a warm, holistic approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. This allows clients to work through their difficulties and towards the life they want. My background as a professional musician has always required commitment, a deep level of sensitivity and the ability to listen and respond to others. These are the qualities that underpin my Therapy Practice.
My approach
Therapy for Adults
The therapeutic process is very much a collaboration. You are the expert in your own life, and I bring a deep respect for the unique experiences, perspectives and story that you carry.
Drawing on my expertise in CBT and other therapeutic approaches, I gently weave techniques into our sessions in a way that feels natural and relevant to you. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to your individual needs, goals and circumstances, so that therapy feels both meaningful and genuinely helpful.
My approach
Therapy for Teens
One of the most important things I would like teenagers to know is that I am on their side. I will take the time to listen without judgement, understand things from their perspective, and create a space where they can feel heard and respected.
I adapt therapeutic techniques to suit each young person's individual needs, interests and way of learning. This means therapy is not about simply being told what to do; it is about finding approaches that feel accessible, meaningful and relevant to them, while supporting them to develop the skills and confidence they need to navigate challenges.
