Question 4

Do you offer online sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I offer online therapy sessions for clients who would prefer to have therapy from the comfort and privacy of their own space. Online therapy sessions are available for UK-based clients.

Question 5

How many sessions will I need?

Accepted Answer

The number of sessions varies greatly from person to person. Throughout the therapy process we will review progress together, and you are never tied into a set number of sessions.

Question 6

What is the free introductory call?

Accepted Answer

The free introductory call is a 15-minute phone or video call where we can have a relaxed, informal conversation about what has brought you to therapy and what you're looking for support with. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so this is simply an opportunity for us to talk and ask any questions you may have.

Question 7

Is everything I say confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes. What you share with me in therapy is treated as confidential and with care and respect. I work in accordance with the ethical framework and professional standards of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which includes clear guidance around confidentiality, privacy and the wellbeing of clients. There are a small number of circumstances where confidentiality may need to be considered, for example if I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of someone else or if there is criminal activity. If this were ever the case, I would always aim to talk this through with you first, wherever possible, so that you understand what is happening and why.

Question 8

How do I book?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is to book a free 15-minute introductory call via the Contact page. You can also email or call me directly: Jen@headlighttherapy.co.uk or 07729831095.
